The Cards Have Arrived

The cards were delivered today and they look fabulous. Kudos to Insty Prints on South Congress in Austin, TX. Low prices, friendly staff, average turnaround time. I'm so happy that they came in at under $100 for 1,000. Sadly, I hesitate to start distributing them because the website isn't ready yet, but the suspense of having them and not handing them out is just too great. Hopefully the website will be both started and finished by my web developer this weekend.

If you're wondering why I didn't design the site myself, I certainly considered it, especially because I wanted something very basic, but I just couldn't get quite what I wanted out of FrontPage. After speaking with a web developer, getting the template set up sounded like it would only take him a few hours (resulting in a reasonable fee for me), so I decided to concentrate my time on more important things... like keeping my existing clients happy!

Business Cards & Sweet Progress

Maniac MarCom is coming together at lightning speed now! I met with the web designer today at lunch and should have the site up within the next few weeks. The logo is finalized and I had the same wonderful designer, Francesca La Barbera from Rome, Italy, design the business cards, which, I assure you, are lovely.

Dealing with printers is always an adventure! I emailed the design to 4 places for quotes and most came in at just under $100 for 1,000 cards. One crazy printer wanted to charge a $130 press set-up fee! I selected Insty Graphics in downtown Austin because they seemed to have their act together and they deliver free. I should have the cards in hand early next week.
